Scordilis E.M.

E.M. Scordilis was born in Chrysoupolis, Greece in 1958.
He did his undergraduate studies in Geology and completed his PhD thesis in Seismology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
He worked as Associated Researcher (1987-1989), as Seismologist (1989-1999), as Lecturer (1999-2005), as Assistant Professor (2005-2009) and, since then, as Associated Professor at the Geophysical Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
He received scientific training at the IRIGM (University Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, FR, 1984) and worked as research fellow at the School of Environmental Sciences (East Anglia University, Norwich, UK, 1994).
He participated in research projects with Greek and International Institutes and Universities and published almost 100 research papers in International Journals and proceedings of International Congresses receiving more than 1000 references to his research work.
He is married to Maria Krimnianiotou and has two children (Helen and Michael).
