This volume contains the abstracts of the works submitted for presentation in the 7th Mediterranean Conference on Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis (MEDICTA2005).
This Conference is organized by the Hellenic Society of Thermal Analysis (HSTA) and other five Mediterranean Societies or Groups of Thermal Analysis (GECAT, AICAT-GICAT, CATPOR and IGTAC). It is under the auspices of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Chemistry and the Association of Greek Chemists (AGC).
The preceding Conferences took place in Corte (Corsica, France, 1993), Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy, 1995), Palma de Mallorca (Spain, 1997), Rio (Patras, Greece, 1999), Santiago de Compostella (Spain, 2001) and Porto (Portugal, 2003).
The scope of this series of Conferences is to provide a forum for scientists (chemists, physics, engineers, geologists, pharmacists and medicines) throughout the world interested in the materials thermal properties and the various thermal analysis and calorimetric techniques.
The abstracts (195) are separated in two units and within these are arranged alphabetically. The first unit contains the abstracts of the Invited Lectures (eight Plenary-PL, seven Key-K and three for the workshop on Geo-science-W). The second unit contains the abstracts of the contributions (36 Oral presentations-O and 141 Posters-P) of the participants, divided to eight sessions-sections.
The scientific content of the abstracts was left as submitted.
As editor of this Volume, I would like to thank the conference secretary V.Bika for her assistance during the preparation of this volume, as well as the Assistant Profs D.Achillias and D. Bikiaris for their valuable help.
